At Dotel, we believe some partnerships go deeper than business. Since 2020, we’ve had the honour of supporting the Chad Staley Memorial Foundation (CSM)—a cause rooted in heart, resilience, and community.
Chad was more than a captain or a competitor. He was a teammate, a friend, and a young leader whose energy left a mark on everyone around him. The Foundation that bears his name was created to carry that spirit forward—and at Dotel, we’ve been proud to stand beside it since the beginning.
A Legacy Built on Impact
The Foundation’s mission is simple and powerful: Support athletes beyond the game—across athletics, academics, health, and well-being. Dotel has been involved since its founding in 2020, not just as a financial supporter, but as part of the team. Many of our team members have sat on the board, volunteered at events, and contributed to shaping its direction over the past five years.
We’ve also proudly sponsored the Chad Staley Memorial Arena, in partnership with Northern Ice Sports, located at the Prince George Golf & Curling Club. That arena stands as a living tribute to Chad’s legacy and a gathering place for the next generation of athletes.
2025: Year One of Grants, Year Five of Purpose
This year marked a major step forward for the Foundation. With funding streams now formalized through the Prince George Community Foundation, CSM was able to award grants to six youth athletes—providing them with the tools, resources, and support to enhance their athletic journeys. From camp costs and travel fees to academic aid, these grants reflect the holistic approach that’s guided CSM since day one. And this is just the beginning.
What's Ahead for 2026
As we look to 2026, Dotel is more committed than ever to supporting the Foundation’s evolution. Next year’s initiatives include:
- Expanding the grant program to reach more athletes across Northern BC
- Partnering with Engage Sport North to bring Certified Mental Performance Consultants (CMPCs) into local youth sports
- Introducing force plate-based athletic testing to support injury prevention and recovery
- Hosting CSM’s first annual athlete summit
- Relaunching the Foundation’s website with a renewed focus on digital learning and engagement
This next chapter will combine advanced performance science with grassroots support—exactly the kind of innovation and community-building that Dotel stands behind.
